The Weather Forecast for 4th to 10th November
The heavy rain in southern and eastern parts of Tenerife yesterday seems short-lived. Southern areas should enjoy a sunny week with only the slightest chance of rain. Northern and eastern parts should also enjoy plenty of sunshine but with more cloudy spells and a greater possibility of rain. There might be a noticeable drop in temperatures everywhere during the second half of the week. It will still be hot in the sunshine but feel cooler in the shade and after dark. In short, very typical November weather.
Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 28th October to 3rd November
As predicted, there was plenty of sunshine and a chance of rain with the south enjoying more sunshine than the north where there was a bit more cloud about than in recent weeks. The rain also came, mainly in the night in the north during the week. Where the forecasters got it wrong was in the south where the rain arrived with a vengeance on Sunday. We were in Santa Cruz and it was muggy and rained but we were still able to walk around in t-shirts enjoying the refreshing drops. By the time we returned to Puerto de la Cruz it was mainly dry with one short downpour in the afternoon. And after a few weeks of ‘will it, won’t it?’ the snow finally arrived on Mount Teide.
Weather in South Tenerife – Although there is still the chance of rain most days, it is a slight one, only 5-10%. The first half of the week will be sunny whilst the second half will see a bit more cloud mixed with the sunshine, especially over the weekend. Temperatures will start around 25C rising to 28C on Tuesday and dropping to 22C for the latter part of the week.
Weather in North Tenerife – It will be sunny every day in the north but there will also be some cloud and a greater chance of rain (5-85%). Temperatures will stick around 20/22C in the shade throughout the week.
Weather in East Tenerife – There might be more cloud than sun in the east with quite a bit of cloud forecast for each day and a 5-85% chance of rain. Like the north, temperatures will remain around 20/22C.
Weather in South West Tenerife – Almost exactly the same as the south.
Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Snow on the summit and rain on the crater are forecast for today with there still being a fare amount of cloud about on Tuesday and Wednesday although at the moment Mount Teide is framed by blue skies. Mostly it will be business as usual – full sunshine. Temperatures will range between 11 and 16C in the crater and 1 and 5c on the summit.
