The Weather Forecast for 4th to 10th March
The weather panned out more or less as predicted by Spain’s forecasters. The storm made a lot of noise and heavy rain caused damage to some beaches in the south west of Tenerife but it wasn’t as fierce as it could have been.
The storm moved away at the start of the week leaving a white Mount Teide. The north experienced sunny and unseasonably hot weather for much of the week with even the highs of the Anaga Mountains being too warm for anything more than a T-shirt. In the south, the windy weather and cloud stayed around a little longer although the sun came out to warm things up a bit for the Los Cristianos carnival.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 11th to 17th March
It looks like normal service has been resumed this week with sunny, calm weather smiling everywhere across the island. There will be a few clouds about towards the end of the week and an outside chance of rain but nothing to write home about. With strong winds forecast for the summit of Teide on Saturday, it’s not all calm sailing and anyone planning on climbing Mount Teide should keep an eye on the situation.

Weather in South Tenerife –  Simply put, it will be sunny every day with some cloud towards the end of the week and a slight chance of rain (15-30%) over the weekend. Temperatures will start the week around 20C and end at 23C.

Weather in North Tenerife – It’s much the same pattern in the north except there might be a bit more cloud around on Thursday and it’s less likely to rain over the weekend (5-25%). Temperatures start the week at 16C but rise to 23C over the weekend.

Weather in East Tenerife –  Same as the north but with a 5-20% chance of rain on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will hover between 19/22C all week.

Weather in South West Tenerife –  A similar pattern to the south, sunny with a 15-30% chance of rain over the weekend and temperatures starting the week at 21C and ending it in the3 mid 20s.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It should be sunny in the crater and on the summit of Mount Teide all week except for Thursday and Friday which will be cloudy. Although it will be a much calmer and warmer week than last, the wind on high is set to pick up again on  Saturday. Check that the cable car is running before heading up the mountain. Temperatures in the crater will vary between 10 and 14C, whilst on the summit they will be between 0C and 3C.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a sunny Monday morning across most of Tenerife.
