The Weather in Tenerife 25th July to 31st July
We were spot on with the calima prediction. It hit Tenerife hard on Saturday and Sunday sending temperatures soaring and blotting out the landscape in the south in a sandy haze. The north, as is usual with calimas, escaped the worst of the sand and extreme temperatures but even there they reached the mid to upper 30s. In the hills at the Dia de la Trilla in El Tanque on Saturday it reached 37C. The rest of the week was changeable with a mix of cloud and sun affecting both the north and south. The trade winds that had brought cloud to the north coast for much of July started to dissipate and although still more cloud than we’d like, there was more sunshine than there had been in previous weeks.

The Weather in Tenerife from 1st to 7th August
It should be a typically hot and sunny start to August across Tenerife with mostly sunny days and the odd light cloud providing a bit of relief. Some rain is forecast over the weekend but it will probably be in the hills. The chances are it will bey more like drizzle than rain if it actually does fall.

Weather in South Tenerife – Sunshine all the way till Thursday when there will be mostly sun and the lightest of cloud from then till Sunday and between a 5 and 15% chance of rain. Temperatures should be a perfect 28/29C all week.

Weather in North Tenerife – Sunny until Thursday and then a mix of cloud and sun till Sunday. There’s 25 and 45% chance of rain from Friday to Sunday. Temperatures should stay around the 25C all week.

Weather in East Tenerife – Mostly sunny from Monday to Wednesday, then cloudy on Thursday and Friday and a mix of cloud and sun on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures should stay around 28C. There’s a 30 to 70% chance of rain between Friday and Sunday.

Weather in South West Tenerife –  Much the same as the south except there will be slightly more chance of rain over the weekend (10-20% chance) and it will be slightly hotter- about 30C during most of the week.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater
– It should be sunny in Mount Teide National Park and on the summit of Teide all week. Temperatures in the crater stay will be around 20C and 10C on the summit.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a beautiful sunny start to August across Tenerife.
