The Weather Forecast for 15th to 21st October
Whilst not getting it exactly right, the forecasters weren’t far off the mark. The week did start cooler but there was a noticeable hike in temperatures from Tuesday onwards. There was plenty of sunshine but both south and north also experienced cloudy spells. In fact there wasn’t much difference between weather on both coasts. High cloud at the weekend was another clue that most parts of Tenerife was experiencing similar weather and sure enough Sunday saw a rainy day nearly everywhere. Despite the rain it was still warm and quite muggy.
Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 29th October to 4th November
November is welcomed in with a bit of a storm. Tuesday to Thursday will be wet and windy everywhere on Tenerife with the Spanish Met Office issuing a yellow alert weather warning for those days. The week will be bookended by warm, sunny weather so it won’t be a complete washout for holidaymakers. We’d advise against going walking on Tenerife, especially at altitude, between Tuesday and Thursday and don’t make any plans for visiting Teide National Park on Tuesday.
Weather in South Tenerife – A sunny start to the week will change to stormy, wet weather from Tuesday to Thursday. The sun should return by Friday, mixing with clouds until the week finishes on a hot and sunny note. It will be a warm start to the week but temps will drop during midweek before rising back to around 27C for the weekend.
Weather in North Tenerife – Much the same as the south with a sunny start to the week, wet and windy until Thursday and a sunny weekend. Although temperatures will drop to 22c on Wednesday, they should stay around 25/26C for the rest of the week.
Weather in East Tenerife – Very similar to the north with a sunny start, wet and windy from Tuesday to Thursday and a sunny weekend. There will be less of a shift in temperatures than in other parts with the thermometer staying between 24 and 27C throughout the week.
Weather in South West Tenerife – The same as everywhere else with the temperature pattern mirroring the south by dropping a few degrees midweek before rising back to 27C for the weekend.
Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Even Teide National park and the summit of Mount Teide won’t escape the bad weather this week with cloud every day until the weekend. There will be rain Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and it will be very windy, so don’t plan on having a cable car ride this week and avoid the park altogether on Tuesday when there will be very heavy rainfall. Temperatures in the crater will range from 13C to 15C and on the summit it will vary between 3C and 4C.
So far today webcams around Tenerife show a sunny start to the week.
