Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 24th February to 2nd March 2014
The good news is that it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful and mainly sunny week across Tenerife. The bad news is that Carnival in the north of Tenerife starts at the end of the week and guess what, rain is forecast for the weekend. Actually, it doesn’t look as though it’s serious rain so even if it does fall it won’t dampen the party spirit. There’s a feeling that a change might be in the air and the forecast looks as good as it has for some time, although temperatures will still have to buck up if the carnival queens don’t want their glamourous looks ruined by goose-pimples. Although all looks fine and dandy, we’ll be keeping an eye on the strong winds at crater level forecast for midweek (but strangely not on the summit). All in all it looks like perfect walking weather.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife 17th to 23rd February 2014
We didn’t manage a report last week as we were trapped on El Hierro thanks to wild seas and a weather front that had all of the islands shivering. After a bit of a cold and wild weekend across the Canary Islands, the weather calmed down a lot leaving a very white Mount Teide. Although there were plenty of sunny spells, there were also plenty of cloudy ones as well across the island and it remained on the cool side out of the sun. By Sunday there was a real feeling of spring being in the air but with carnival starting properly this week you never know.

Weather in South Tenerife –  It should be a lovely week in the south with mainly sunshine every day and only a slight chance of rain at the weekend (5-40%). Temperatures should hover between 19/21C.

Weather in North Tenerife – It should also be a sunny week in the north but with a bit more cloud and the possibility of light rain at some point most days. Sunday looks as though rainfall is certain, but then so is sunshine. Temperatures will still be on the low side in the shade 17/18C at the start and end of the week with a midweek drop of one degree.

Weather in East Tenerife –  Exactly the same as the north.

Weather in South West Tenerife – The south west should experience the same weather pattern as  the south of Tenerife.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – The sun is going to shine constantly on Mount Teide and in Teide National Park all next week. There might be strong winds at crater level between Wednesday and Friday so it’s worth checking in the cable car is operating on those days. Temperatures will range between 7C and 12C in the crater and -1C and 2C on the summit.
