Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 19th to 25th December

The Weather in Tenerife 12th to 18th December
The Spanish weather forecasters got it more or less right last week with lots of sunshine across Tenerife. There was another small calima towards the end of the week raising temperatures to higher than normal for this time of year and some clouds rolled in on Sunday bringing cooler temperatures (relatively speaking) and even light rain in parts. A yellow weather alert for high winds of up to 70 kph on Sunday didn’t seem to materialise.

The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 19th to 25th December
It’s looking like Christmas week is going to be a mainly warm and sunny one across Tenerife. There is currently a yellow alert for winds of up to 70kph in place for Monday but there’s not a breath on the north coast and there are no reports of particularly windy weather elsewhere. The big question is ‘are we going to have a white Christmas on Tenerife?’ With snow showers forecast for Monday afternoon on Mount Teide, there’s a slim chance. But we think it’s unlikely this year.

Weather in South Tenerife – It should be another lovely sunny week in the south of Tenerife with only a few light clouds at the start and the end of the week. Temperatures should be around 23C all week. Christmas Day should be sunny with some clouds and a 10% chance of rain.

Weather in North Tenerife –  Very similar to the south of Tenerife with sunny weather forecast for most of the week except for Monday when it should be cloudy with some rain. the same as the south with sunshine every day. Temperatures should be around 19C in the shade. The forecast for Christmas Day is also for mostly sunshine with some clouds and a 10% chance of rain.

Weather in East Tenerife – The east and Santa Cruz bucks the trend of other parts with mostly sun toady but with some cloudy spells and even the chance of rain this morning (15%). Tuesday will have a cloudy morning and a sunny afternoon. After that it’s pretty much the same as everywhere else with mainly sunshine and sun and some clouds on Christmas Day when there will be a 10% chance of rain. Temperatures should be around 21/22C all week.

Weather in South West Tenerife – It’s even better than both north and south in the south west of Tenerife with mostly sunshine every day. Temperatures will be around the 21C mark all week. Christmas Day should see mostly sunshine with some clouds and a 10% chance of rain.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – The sun will be shining in the Mount Teide crater and on the summit all week except for this afternoon when it might snow. Temperatures in the crater will be a cool 10-12C and around the 1C mark on the summit.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show sunshine in the south and cloud in the north.
