The Spanish Met Office have just issued a ‘yellow alert’ warning for heavy rain across all of the Canary Islands for Wednesday 22nd September.
The alert lasts from midnight tonight until midnight on Wednesday. It’s predicted that there will be up to 15mm of rainfall in one hour and up to 70mm over 12 hours.
The yellow level is the lowest for weather warnings, so hopefully this should be nothing too serious.
jejeje … if it’s anything like the last one, no! My friend in Las Americas apparently counted 17 droplets on her terrace!
We were desperate for some decent rain – it started and 60 seconds later it was over. But it did rain in the evening…and left half of the Sahara on the terrace.
