The Weather in Tenerife 20th June to 26th June

As predicted it turned out to be a very hot and sunny week on Tenerife. With hot days and sultry nights, it was perfect for the San Juan beach parties and open air music festivals that  took place during the week. Temperatures across Tenerife were in the mid 30s for much of the week with reports of them reaching 40C in some areas.

It shouldn’t be quite as hot on Tenerife this week. Although a hot and sunny week is predicted, temperatures should remain at a more comfortable upper 20s to low 30s. There does look as though another heatwave could be heading this way for the weekend as temperatures are predicted to jump a couple of degrees from Friday. In some towns around Tenerife Corpus Christi has already been celebrated, but Thursday sees the most famous of all the flower carpets when La Orotava’s streets are paved with floral designs. The prediction for the weather in La Orotava is that it should be a mostly sunny day with temperatures around 24C – perfect for viewing the carpets and capturing some stunning photos.

Weather in South Tenerife – Sunny and hot all week with some light cloud on Tuesday and Thursday. Temperatures should be a sizzling 29C rising to 30+ at the weekend.

Weather in North Tenerife – Mostly sunny and hot all week with some cloud between Monday and Friday. Temperatures should be a perfect 24C.

Weather in East Tenerife – Sunny and hot all week with some cloud between Monday and Friday. Temperatures around 27C.

Weather in South West Tenerife –  Sunny and hot all week with some light cloud Tuesday to Thursday. Like the south of Tenerife temperatures should be around 29C.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It should be sunny in Mount Teide National Park and on the summit of Teide all week except. Temperatures in the crater stay will be 22 rising to 25C for the weekend and around 9C on the summit.

The sun obviously hasn’t read the forecast yet as so far today webcams around Tenerife show cloud in the south, west and north west, but sunny skies in the east over Santa Cruz, La Laguna and The Anaga Mountains.
