The Weather in Tenerife 31st January to 6th February
AEMet got their predictions more or less right for last week with lots of sun in the south of Tenerife and the north getting off to a cloudy first half of the week but had a beautiful second half. It did snow again on Mount Teide at the beginning of the week, but by the end of the week a lot of the snow on the crater floor had gone.
The Weather in Tenerife 7th February to 13th February
It should be quite typical February weather for the coming week according to the Spanish Met Office. Lots of sunshine, temperatures hovering around the 21C mark and a good chance of some rain during the second half of the week – a definite on Wednesday. Forecasters are predicting calima for the start of the week, but as predicted temperatures aren’t rising, it should be a weak one. It also looks as though next Saturday could be pretty windy across Tenerife so we’ll be keeping an eye on that situation.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater –Sunny all week in the crater except for Wednesday when even the crater should see some rain. Temperatures will be around a cool 7C. Same as the crater except that on Wednesday there should be more snowfall on Mount Teide and temperatures will plummet to -8C. The rest of the week they’ll vary from -1 to -4C.
At this moment the cable car is operating normally.
So far today the stunning weekend weather continues and it’s blue skies and sunshine across and Mount Teide is looking as pretty as a picture.
