The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 16th April to 22th April
The week started with plenty of sunshine across Tenerife but as it progressed more and more cloud crept in and it felt quite unseasonably cool in parts with quite strong windy spells in parts. The 2nd half of the week was dreary in the north and there was rainfall on Saturday before the sun returned on Sunday.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 23rd April to 29th April
A sunny start to the week across Tenerife gives way to cloud and a rainy day on Friday everywhere with the summit of Mount Teide possibly even experiencing some late snow. Temperatures will remain about the same as recent weeks with most parts experiencing a slight drop toward the end of the week. If it’s sunshine you’re after, the far south west resorts look the best bet but there should still be plenty of sun everywhere on Tenerife’s coasts.

Weather in South Tenerife – It should be mostly a sunny week with only a few light clouds in the south of Tenerife except for Thursday morning which will be cloudy and Friday which  looks set to be a grey and drizzly day. There’s a 5 to 85% chance of rain between Thursday and Sunday (the 85% being Friday). Temperatures start the week at around 24c dropping a degree as the week progresses.

Weather in North Tenerife – A sunny start to the week continues until Thursday. Which will be mainly cloudy. Like the south it seems that Friday will be rainy before the sun returns for a weekend of mixed cloud and sunshine. There’s a 5 to 90% chance of rain from Thursday to Sunday. Temperatures will start the week around 20C in the shade dropping a degree toward the end of the week.

Weather in East Tenerife – Much the same as most of the rest of Tenerife with a lot of sunshine at the start of the week followed by a cloudy Thursday and a rainy Friday with the sun returning for the weekend. There’s a 5 to 90% chance of rain from Thursday to Sunday. Unlike other parts temperatures will start the week about 23C in the shade before dropping a degree midweek rising again for the weekend.

Weather in South West Tenerife – Once again the south west looks like the best bet for sunshine with sun every day except Friday which will be a grey, rainy day like elsewhere on Tenerife. here’s between a 5 and 85% chance of rain from Thursday to Sunday. Temperatures will be around 25C in the shade at the start of the week and 24C by the end.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Even Mount Teide National Park won’t escape a dreary Friday with snow forecast on the summit of Mount Teide. Apart from that it should be a sunny week as usual. Temperatures in the crater will vary from 6C to 10C and from 1C to a very chilly -3C on the summit. It will also be very windy at the summit from Thursday evening until Sunday so check the cable car is running before travelling.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a sunny south with a few clouds and a cloudy north with some blue breaks.

Pic: There’s no pic from last week as we were hiking on La Gomera for most of it, so here’s a shot from last April with La Gomera on the horizon and The Jardín Tropical’s Las Rocas restaurant occupying prime position on Costa Adeje’s coastline. Incidentally and coincidentally, we’re offering a week’s holiday at the Jardín Tropical in the latest competition in Tenerife Magazine.
