The Weather Forecast for 14th to 20th January
More or less another re-run of the previous week with stunning weather throughout the week on Tenerife with some cloud on Saturday and a beautiful Sunday, especially in the north of the island. The Spanish Met Office got their prediction spot on. There was even a bit of rain on Saturday night, but it was of the blink and you’ll have missed it type.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 21st to 27th January
The fantastic spell of January weather comes to an end this week. Although there will be sunshine there will also be a lot of cloud, especially in northern and north eastern areas. Temperatures will be slightly cooler everywhere and there’s chance of rain across the island as well as snowfall on Teide. A yellow level weather alert for choppy seas on north and east coasts at the start is a signal to take care when walking anywhere near the sea. These big waves like to look for ‘innocents’ to grab.

Weather in South Tenerife –  It’s going to be a slightly less warm week which, although there will be sunshine every day, will see more cloud about. Temperatures will be around 20/22C and there is a likelihood of rain on Tuesday and between Friday and Sunday (5 to 25%).

Weather in North Tenerife
– Not so good news for the north unless you’re a farmer. It will be cloudy most days with the sun turning up for spells on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Temperatures will be on the cool side, dropping to 14c in the shade midweek before rising again to 18C from Friday. It will be a surprise if we avoid rain in the north this week; there’s a 30-55% chance of wet stuff falling from the sky on Tuesday and Friday to Sunday.

Weather in East Tenerife –  Like the north, it will be a cloudy week with sunny spells on  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. There’s a 5-65% chance of rain every day except for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be around 17/20C in the shade.

Weather in South West Tenerife – As is usual, the south west is looking best bet for sunshine with most days being sunny with some light cloud and Tuesday and Saturday being cloudy with some sunshine. Temperatures will range from 20 to 23C throughout the week and there is a likelihood of rain on Tuesday and between Friday and Sunday (5 to 30%). .

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Bucking the cloudy trend, as is so often the case, Teide National Park will be sunny all week except for Tuesday morning when there will be cloud and sunshine in the crater. The summit of Mount Teide will also be cloudy on Friday when snowfall is not beyond the realms of possibility. Temperatures in the crater will range from 5C to 10C and between 1C and -4C on the peak.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a sunny south and a cloudy north.
