The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 30th April to 6th May
Anyone visiting Tenerife last week would have been bored by the weekend… bored of humming Lou Reed’s Perfect Day. Last week was a stunner with the north enjoying full blown sunshine and the south getting off to a slower start with a bit of cloud on May Day but then soon catching up as the week progressed. With temperatures in the mid 20s, it was the perfect start to May and there was a real feel that summer had arrived. It’s a peach of a time for walking on Tenerife.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 7th to 13th May

It should be mainly a sunny week across Tenerife with temperatures continuing to rise everywhere as the week goes on. A jump on the thermometer at the weekend combined with quite breezy weather suggests that a calima might be on the way which will affect south and eastern areas more than the north and west.

Weather in South Tenerife –  Another gloriously sunny week is on the cards with temperatures jumping from around 24C in the shade at the beginning of the week to upper 20s by the weekend. This hike combined with predicted breezy weather has all the hallmarks of calima.

Weather in North Tenerife – Much the same as the south except temperatures will be a few degrees less hot and not quite so breezy at the weekend; more signs that a calima may be coming as they don’t affect the north in the same way as the south of Tenerife.

Weather in East Tenerife – Same story as everywhere else – sun, sun, sun with temperatures beginning the week at around 23C and ending at 25C… in the shade, so much, much hotter in full sunshine.

Weather in South West Tenerife – Oddly, the south west is slightly different. It will be sunny nearly all week but Tuesday morning might be cloudy. It’s also the hottest place on Tenerife with temperatures going from around 26C to 28C as the week chugs along to the weekend.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater
– Bizarrely Mount Teide National Park won’t experience the same amount of sunshine as everywhere else with cloud forecast for the crater and on the summit on  Monday, Tuesday morning and Thursday.  Temperatures in the crater will vary from 11C to 18C and from 0C to 5C on the summit.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show clear skies across Tenerife.
