The Weather in Tenerife 15th to 21st August
The weather people got the weather forecast for Tenerife almost spot on for last week…with a few anomalies. The south started the week sweltering in a heatwave with temperatures pushing 40c in some places whilst the north was covered in a blanket of humid cloud. In the north the situation got better by Tuesday and from Wednesday onwards it was mostly glorious weather. In the south of Tenerife things ‘cooled’ down to more bearable levels from Wednesday but there were varying reports of different experiences within a few kilometres with some parts being windy and cloudy during the week whilst others were hot and hazy; evidence that Tenerife’s micro-climates make accurate forecasting almost impossible.
The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 22nd to 28th August
There should be no extremes of weather patterns this week. For most of the week it should be hot and sunny in most areas of Tenerife with only some light cloud. Things change a little towards the weekend when there will be more cloud and even the chance of some light rain, but even on the cloudy days there should be plenty of sunshine.
Weather in South Tenerife – Simply sunny and hot for most of the week with some light cloud breaking up the blue skies from Thursday. Sunday will be the cloudiest day and there will be a slight chance of rain on Saturday. Temperatures will stay around 29/30C all week.
Weather in North Tenerife – Should be more or less a rerun of last week. Sunny most of the week with some light cloud from Tuesday afternoon. The weekend could see a bit more cloud rolling into the north coast and the chance of showers on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures should be around 26C all week.
Weather in East Tenerife – Sunny with some cloud on Monday, Tuesday Friday. The other days should see a mix of cloud and sun with the possibility of showers on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures should be around 29C all week.
Weather in South West Tenerife – As is often the case, pretty much the same as weather forecast for the south of Tenerife. Sunny and hot for most of the week with some light cloud breaking up the blue skies from Thursday. Sunday will be the cloudiest day and there will be a slight chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will stay around 29/30C all week.
Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It should be sunny in Mount Teide National Park and on the summit all week until Saturday when there might be some cloud. Temperatures in the crater will be a 19C and a fresher 10C on the summit.
So far today webcams around Tenerife show a peach of a summer’s morning across ll of Tenerife.
