The Weather in Tenerife 8th to 14th August
It was a stunner of a week in the main – sunny and very hot all week in the south and the same in the north except for Saturday and Sunday when there was more cloud and sun. Evening temperatures are high and being out and it was still T-shirt wearing weather in Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz at 1am.
The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 15th to 21st August
The week begins with a yellow alert weather warning for because of a heatwave affecting everywhere but the north coast. Temperatures in the east, south, south west and high areas could reach reach 34C in the shade (that pushes it much higher in the sunshine). The heatwave should last until Wednesday when temperatures should return to normal (around 30C). It should be mainly a sunny week across most of Tenerife.
Weather in South Tenerife – Mostly sunny all week with some light cloud especially on Wednesday morning. It will be mid 30s at the beginning of the week before returning to a more bearable and normal 29/30C by Wednesday.
Weather in North Tenerife – Sunny most of the week with some light cloud, especially from Tuesday afternoon till Thursday morning. Temperatures should be around 26C all week.
Weather in East Tenerife – Sunny most of the week with some cloud, especially from Tuesday afternoon till Friday morning. Temperatures should be around 29C all week.
Weather in South West Tenerife – More or less the same as the south. Mostly sunny all week with some light cloud especially on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. It will be mid 30s at the beginning of the week before returning to 29/30C by Wednesday.
Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It should be sunny in Mount Teide National Park and on the summit all week. Temperatures in the crater will be a hot 23C and a fresher 10C on the summit.
So far today webcams around Tenerife show the south and the north east in sunshine but cloud in the La Orotava Valley on the north coast.
