The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 28th May to 3rd June
It didn’t turn out that Tenerife enjoyed wall to wall sunshine as predicted. In the north it was mainly hot and sunny with some cloudy spells before it clouded over on Sunday. In the south the weather appeared a bit more mixed in the first half of the week with at least one holidaymaker on Twitter complaining that they didn’t expect it to be cold on Tenerife and Dia de Canarias being reported as being a miserable day.

In the main it’s going to be a warm and sunny week across Tenerife with northern areas experiencing cloudy intervals. Friday could be cloudy everywhere on the island, except in Teide National Park and there might be rain in places. Spanish TV has forecast more rain than has been predicted on the Spanish Met Office website, so we’ll have to see which is closer to reality.

Weather in South Tenerife –  A mainly sunny week with only a few clouds around with the most cloud about on Friday. Temperatures will be a hot 28C in the shade for most of the week. There’s a slight possibility of rain on Friday (10%).

Weather in North Tenerife – According to the forecast it’s more of a mixed week in the north with Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Sunday being sunny; Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Saturday being a mix of cloud and sun and Friday being cloudy with a 25% chance of rain. Temperatures should be around 24C in the shade.

Weather in East Tenerife – A breezy week in the capital Santa Cruz sees sunshine on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday; cloud and sun on Saturday and Sunday and cloudy on Wednesday morning and Friday. There’s a 5-35% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday with staying a hot 27C all week.

Weather in South West Tenerife – A sunny week in the south west except for Friday when there will be a mix of cloud and sun and a 20% chance of rain. Temperatures will be around a sizzling 29C

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater
– Once again it will be unbroken sunshine all week on Mount Teide and in Teide National Park. Temperatures in the crater will vary from 14C to 18C and from 5C to 8C on the summit.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a a lot of sunshine but also a few clouds around in both north and south.
