The one on the left advises ‘entra usted en un espacio natural protegido’ which translates as ‘you are entering a protected natural area’. The one on the other reads ‘sale usted de un espacio natural protegido’ which translates as…you’ve guessed it; ‘you are leaving a protected natural area.’
By my reckoning that makes the ‘protected area’ that little patch of pale earth between the signs.
