These hot weather warnings have become a regular feature of summer in Tenerife so far.
AEMet, the Spanish Meteorological Office have issued yet another ‘Yellow’ alert for high temperatures across much of Tenerife from 11am today (Thursday 29th July) until 8pm Friday 30th July.
In the south, east, west, highlands of La Orotava and Vilaflor temperatures are expected to reach 34C in the shade.
Take extra care and extra water if walking anywhere on Tenerife over the next couple of days. Even in the areas not covered by the alert temperatures are most likely to be 30C+
Walking in the Teno Mountains yesterday was made quite difficult by the heat…and it wasn’t even an alert.
The views were absolutely stunning though.
Don’t see why these temperatures require an alert, just a normal summer in Tenerife
True Dennis,
30+ is the norm even up here in the north during the height of summer. Mind you in Britain I think they were issuing warnings when the temps didn’t drop below 24 at night not so long ago : )
