The Arenas Negras zona recreativa near La Montañeta is currently shut for a bit of a facelift.

Don’t let this put you off walking in the area though. Despite a sign warning that the zone is closed at the start of the road (dirt track) that leads to Arenas Negras, it is only the recreation zone that is out of bounds.The paths around it are open for business as usual.
Walkers can still drive almost right up to the recreation zone, park up beneath the pines and take advantage of this great walking area.
