  1. TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN
Having purchased and downloaded your walks detail we were very disappointed to arrive at Hotel Maritimo Punta Brava to find several barriers across the path, and no longer suitable for walking. Surely your walks should be kept up to date, nd why no distances mentioned in the guides?

  2. Thanks for your comment Peter.

The barrier at the Hotel Maritimo is a temporary one following rain and rockfall and we fully expect it to open again. In fact we spoke to someone who’d done the walk only this week and loved it. The route from the recommended start point in the guide, which leads to the best bits, is also open.

There’s a similar situation with the Barranco del Infierno in the south of Tenerife. Whilst we wouldn’t suggest that anyone ignores local council warnings, we do also know that the route is walked on a daily basis.
