The Weather Forecast for 10th to 16th June
It was a much sunnier week than the previous one with plenty of sunshine about, but maybe not quite as sunny as had been predicted with quite a few cloudy spells about with the southern side of Tenerife enjoying more sunshine than northern parts, which is par for the course at this time of year.
Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 17th to 23rd June
In the week that welcomes Midsummer, the weather should be pretty typical for this time of year. It should be mostly sunny everywhere with the best of the sunshine being in the south and south west whilst the north and north east experience some cloudy spells. Celebrations for Midsummer (San Juan) take place on Sunday night (23rd) with the biggest ones being in the north, although some southern resorts are increasingly joining in the party. The forecast for Sunday is sunshine most places except for Santa Cruz where there will be some cloud.
Weather in South Tenerife – A re-run of last week with sunny days and a few light clouds all week and temperatures of 24/25C. The only difference is that it could be quite breezy from Thursday with an outside chance of rain (5%) on Friday.
Weather in North Tenerife – Although it should also be sunny every day, there will be more cloud about in the north on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will be 19/22C in the shade and there will be a 5 to 15% chance of rain over the weekend.
Weather in East Tenerife – Sunny Monday and Tuesday then a mix of cloud and sun for the remainder of the week. Temperatures will be between 20/23C and there’s a 5 to 20% chance of rain from Thursday to Sunday.
Weather in South West Tenerife – It will be sunny all week although there is a 5% possibility of rain on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures should be a perfect 25/26C although, like the south, it could be breezy during the weekend.
Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It will be full on sun every day in Teide National Park although, oddly, it might rain up the mountain tonight. Temperatures in the crater will vary between 14 and 17C, whilst on the summit they will be between 6C and 8C.
So far today webcams around Tenerife show cloud and sun in most places around Tenerife. The weather clearly hasn’t read the forecast yet.
