The Weather Forecast for 4th to 10th February
The calima that affected Tenerife at the start of the week was a bit of strange one, almost more like fog than calima and initially without the high temperatures after it cleared the weather was a mix of cloud and sun as predicted with the south enjoying more sun and the north ending on a cool, cloudy note for the second half of the week. In many ways it was typical February weather – not as bad or as good as it can be.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 11th to 17th February
Apart from Santa Cruz and parts of the east coast, most of Tenerife should have a sunny week with temperatures in the low 20s. There’s a slight chance of rain at the weekend but the likelihood is that it will be only a drizzle or will only affect higher ground. The Coso Apoteosis (closing carnival parade) in Santa Cruz looks like it will take place under cloudy skies but at least the rain should stay away.

Weather in South Tenerife –  It should be a lovely sunny February week in the south of Tenerife with only a few clouds around and temperatures of 21/22C. There’s a 5-10% chance of rain over the weekend.

Weather in North Tenerife – If the forecasters are correct, carnival week should be a warm sunny one in the north of Tenerife with sunshine every day. Like the south there’s a 5-10% possibility of rain over the weekend. Temperatures should be around 17/20C in the shade although it could be a quite cool 15C for the Burial of the Sardine on Wednesday.

Weather in East Tenerife –  Strangely the capital, Santa Cruz, bucks the trend of the rest of Tenerife with a lot of cloud mixed with the sunshine every day except Thursday and Friday which will be mainly sunny. Temperatures will stay around 17/19C and carnival’s closing parade on Tuesday should take place under cloudy skies. However, there’s less chance of rain in the east than in other parts (5%).

Weather in South West Tenerife – As usual similar to the south with a sunny week and expected temperatures of 22/23C with a 5-15% chance of rain over the weekend.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It will be sunshine all week in Teide National Park and on the summit of Mount Teide except for Friday when there will cloud and sun. Temperatures in the crater will range from 8C to 10C and between -1C and -3C on the peak.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a cloudy north Tenerife and a mostly sunny south.
