The Weather in Tenerife 17th to 23rd October
The Spanish Met Office got it absolutely right, the first snows of the season appeared on the slopes of Mount Teide on Tuesday afternoon (okay they were a day out but we’ll forgive them that).

Apart from that it was very much an island of two halves. The north had a mix of sun and cloud at the start of the week with Wednesday being overcast but from Thursday it was sunshine all the way. The south of Tenerife on the other hand had a mainly cloudy week with periods of rainfall and occasional sunny spells.

The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 24th to 30th October
The coming week should be slightly better in the south of Tenerife than last week. Although cloud is forecast for all parts every day, there should still be plenty of sunshine. There will also be rainy spells but that’s common at this time of year when there is a noticeable change in the season. It’s still very warm in the sunshine but temperatures in the shade and after the sun goes down become cooler.

It’s a perfect climate for walking on Tenerife.

Weather in South Tenerife – It should be a better week in the south of Tenerife with the sun putting in an appearance on most days. Thursday to Saturday should be the sunniest days with the rest of the week possibly seeing more cloud than sun. There’s a chance of rain (5-55%) today, Wednesday and between Friday and Sunday. Temperatures should be a lovely 27c all week.

Weather in North Tenerife –  There will be a mix of cloud and sun all week with temperatures staying around 23/24C. There’s a 5-55% chance of rain today and from Thursday to Sunday.

Weather in East Tenerife – Much the same as everywhere else with a mix of cloud and sun all week and the chance of rain being 5-65% today and from Thursday to Sunday. Temperatures will be around the 26C mark all week.

Weather in South West Tenerife – Same as everywhere else with a mix of sun and cloud every day and between a 5 and 50% chance of rain today, . The south west should be the warmest part of the island with temperatures ranging from 29-31C. Again there’s a 5-35% chance of rain today, Wednesday and between Friday and Sunday. It could be the warmest area of the island with temperatures around 29C all week.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – If you want guaranteed sunshine it looks like Mount Teide and Las Cañadas is the place to be as unbroken sunshine is forecast for the week. Temperatures in the crater will range from 11-15C and on the summit 5C.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show a mainly sunny morning across Tenerife.
