The Weather Forecast for 2nd to 8th September
I regularly read that you can’t predict what the weather is going to do in parts of Tenerife, I can only figure that the people who say this aren’t using a decent source of information as the Spanish Met Office seem to do a pretty good job of it. Last week did have lots of sunshine as well as cloudy spells and parts did experience quite strong winds as well as some light rain… just as predicted.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 9th to 16th September
A sunny start to the week will see cloud roll in across most parts from Thursday bringingh with it the possibility of rain everywhere, even on the tip of Mount Teide. If it’s like the rain last week, most people won’t even be aware of it as it should be light and may happen during the night. Temperatures will be perfect mid to upper 20s in all coastal areas of Tenerife.

Weather in South Tenerife –  It should be a hot and sunny week with a few clouds over the weekend when there will also be the chance of rain (5-15% between Fri and Sun). Temperatures should stick around 27C with a slight rise on Tuesday.

Weather in North Tenerife –  A sunny start to the week but a mix of cloud and sun from Thursday onwards when rain is also a possibility (5-30%). Temperatures will range from 22/24C in the shade.

Weather in East Tenerife –  There will be slightly more cloud about than in other parts but it will still be mainly sunny with most of the cloud being from Thursday on when there is a 5-35% chance of rain. Temperatures will stay around 23/24C.

Weather in South West Tenerife – It will be sunny until Thursday which will be quite cloudy as will Friday. Saturday and Sunday will bring more sunshine but with still some cloud about. Like everywhere else, there’s a chance of rain (5-20%) but from Wednesday onwards. Temperatures will be 26/27c throughout the week.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Not the typical week up Mount Teide with some cloud forecast from Wednesday through the weekend. There could also be rain between Wednesday night and Friday with high winds threatening the running of the cable car. Temperatures in the crater will vary between 14C and 16C, whilst on the summit they will be between 3C and 6C.

So far today webcams around Tenerife show the sun just breaking through a cloudy north and a sunnier south Tenerife.
