The Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 23rd to 29th July
With the forest fires under control, life returned to normal on Tenerife. The weather in the north started out on the cloudy side but the sun took more hold as the week progressed and with the second half of the week being sunny and very, very hot. In the south it was pretty much summer business as normal with mostly sunshine save for the occasional cloudy spell at the start of the week.

Weather Forecast for Tenerife from 31st July to 5th August

Generally it will be a hot and sunny week most places on Tenerife with temperatures ranging from warm to very, very hot. There will be a heatwave on Thursday that is due to affect the south, west and east of the island so we’d advise against walking on Tenerife in those areas whilst the yellow alert warning is in place. Mount Teide National Park may be on the hot side for walking as well as temperatures will stay around mid 20s and walking in that lunar landscape with little shade and a dry, dusty atmosphere might not be as pleasant as it should be.

Weather in South Tenerife
–   Much the same as previous weeks – hot and sunny all week with temperatures of starting the week at around 29C before a heatwave (yellow alert level) arrives on Thursday pushing temperatures into the mid 30s. At the moment it looks as though things will cool down by the end of the week with the thermometer dropping a couple of degrees to around the 26C mark. It could also be a breezy weekend.

Weather in North Tenerife – It will be mostly sunny withTuesday afternoon having a mix of sun and cloud. Temperatures seem to be working in the opposite direction to the south with the week starting at 21C before climbing to 27C by Saturday and dropping back to 25C on Sunday.

Weather in East Tenerife –  The east of Tenerife will experience mostly sunshine with some light clouds (heavier on Friday morning and during Saturday. Unlike everywhere else, the temperature will remain more or less constant on the east coast, staying around 24/25C.

Weather in South West Tenerife – Much like the south with mainly sun and possibly some light cloud. The week will start at a hot 32C rising to 36C on Thursday before dropping back to around 26/27C. The south west of Tenerife will also have a yellow alert weather warning in place for Thursday.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – It will be sunshine all week on Mount Teide and in Teide National Park. It’s going to be a particularly hot week in the crater with temperatures reaching 24/25C every day. On the summit it will vary between 10C and 12C .

So far today webcams around Tenerife show mostly a sunny south, east and west  and parts of north Tenerife with a cloudy north west.
