The Weather in Tenerife 8th to 14th November

The rain that was forecast for most days last week didn’t materialise, with only a couple of very light showers in the south and rain very early Wednesday morning in the north. In the main it was another warm and sunny week in all coastal areas with temperatures staying in the mid 20s and above. Even at night it has been warmer than usual and at Walking Tenerife we were able to enjoy the seasonal chestnuts and wine at Puerto de la Cruz harbour in T-shirt wearing 23C at 9pm.

The Weather in Tenerife 15th to 21st November

Much the same forecast as last week with sun and occasional rain showers forecast for all parts on most days. The big news is that the first snowfall on Mount Teide has been forecast for this morning so if the clouds part this afternoon we’ll try to get a shot of the first Tenerife snow of the season.

Weather in South Tenerife – Mostly sunny from Mon to Thurs. Sun with some cloud Fri to Sunday. There’s a 5-15% chance of rain on Mon, Fri and Sunday. Temperatures should be around 25C.

Weather in North Tenerife
– Mostly sunny on Tues and Thurs. Sun with some cloud on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sunday. Cloudy Saturday. There’s a 75% chance of rain today and between a 15 and 45% chance between Thurs and Sunday. Temperatures should be around 24C.

Weather in East Tenerife – Mostly sunny on Tues and Thurs. Sun with some cloud on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sunday. Cloudy Saturday. There’s an 85% chance of rain today and between a 5 and 55% chance between Wed and Sunday. Temperatures should be around 25C.

Weather in South West Tenerife – Exactly as the south. Mostly sunny from Mon to Thurs. Sun with some cloud Fri to Sunday. There’s a 5-15% chance of rain on Mon, Fri and Sunday. Temperatures should be around 25C.

Weather in the Mount Teide Crater – Shock horror, but rain is predicted in the crater this morning before normal sunny service is resumed this afternoon lasting until Saturday when it will be cloudy. As mentioned above, whilst it might be raining in the crater, it could result in some snow on Mount Teide’s summit this morning. Temperatures in the crater should be around 15C and 5C at the summit.

So far this morning it looks like more sun than cloud in the south, more cloud than sun in the north. Rain in Santa Cruz, La Laguna and also in the crater where Teide is completely obscured. Will there be snow when the mountain reappears?
